The Prestwick Place Lab-Grown Diamonds are in fact real diamonds and offer the same brilliance, sparkle, and shine of a natural, mined diamond.

In general, the radiant cut diamond is known for offering bright, white brilliance. This is because a radiant diamond has a large table and numerous facets, allowing it to take in and reflect a large amount of light to create a bright, beautiful sparkle.

Offering 70 facets in its pavilion and crown, the radiant cut offers impressive brilliance and fire. Radiant cuts, by nature, have strong brilliance because of the high number of facets and the quality of its cut. They're cut and polished in a way that allows light to gather inside the diamond and redirect back to your eyes. This makes the radiant cut a great choice if you want a non-round diamond with a beautiful sparkle.

A lab-grown diamond should be considered and treated just as a natural diamond would as it contains the exact same properties as naturally formed diamonds.
The only thing that makes a lab-grown diamond different from a mined diamond is its origin.

A lab-grown diamond touches fewer hands, is conflict-free, they are less ecologically damaging than a mined diamond and they are 30% to 50% less expensive than their earth mined diamond equivalents.

Our Radiant Cut Lab-Diamond is shape that looks perfect in both a modern or vintage setting.

Why VVS1?
Many Lab-Grown Diamonds available to purchase in-store and online are typically supplied as a SI1 standard only. The Prestwick Lab-Grown Diamond is as a VS1 standard.

The clarity difference between a VS1 and VVS1 lab-diamond is that a VS1 lab-diamond has a higher number of inclusions that affect the diamond's brilliance, appearance and durability. While the two may look identical without magnification, a VVS1 diamond is cleaner and has fewer blemishes. As a lifetime piece, we believe that the quality and clarity of your Lab-Diamond should not be overlooked.

Sitting comfortably in the top end of the clarity scale, The Prestwick Place VVS1 clarity Lab-Diamonds are two to three grades better than the average VS1 clarity selection for Lab-grown Diamonds.

Why D Colour?
Diamond colour is typically graded on a scale descending from D, which means no hint of colour, to Z.  A well-cut D colour lab-diamond has a bright, icy white appearance that looks stunningly beautiful.
It is important to note that D colour diamonds are valuable because they are rare, and we believe in providing excellence over cutting corners when it comes to the colour of a Lab-grown diamond.

The Prestwick Diamond is a lab-created stone, meaning it is both ethically and responsibly sourced.
