A crisp floral fragrance, The Friendship & Devotion Candle (or Summer in Saigon as our pourers call it) is enveloped in heady jasmine and subtle magnolia. Additional notes of juicy melon, cucumber, and white peach smoothly blend to form a distinctive, complex aroma that will create a clean, mellow ambience in your space.
The purpose:
Ignite when first engaged and burn continuously until the engagement period/party is over. Repackage and do not reignite until the timing calls for a walk down memory lane.
The Science:
Smells are handled by the olfactory bulb, the structure in the front of the brain that sends information to the other areas of the body's central command for further processing. Odours take a direct route to the limbic system, including the amygdala and the hippocampus, the regions related to emotion and memory.
In burning a specific and very particular scent surrounding a time of heightened emotion, the brain creates new neural pathways associated to the emotions experienced during this period or season in time.
When reintroduced to the scent, the limbic system activates the strain of emotion experienced when the original synapses were formed in the brain.
