The Prestwick Preservation Box
Premium Care for Your Most Treasured Pieces

The Prestwick Preservation Box is the gold standard in garment storage, offering dry-cleaner quality preservation trusted by brides and professionals alike. This premium box provides peace of mind that your wedding dress, veil, baptism outfit or any cherished garment will be stored safely for years to come.

Crafted with a white acid-free (pH neutral) interior lining, it prevents yellowing, fabric damage, and moisture retention - making it the only recommended method for long-term garment care. Ideal for wedding dresses, veils, suits, christening gowns, formal dresses and other heirloom pieces you want to protect and pass down.

Available in two sizes, with complimentary acid free tissue paper, to suit your needs.

Because timeless garments deserve timeless care.

The purpose:

To protect and preserve your most meaningful garments. Preservation boxes prevent yellowing, moisture damage, and fabric deterioration. The Prestwick Preservation Box ensures your wedding dress, veil, or heirloom piece stays in pristine condition for generations.

The Science:

The Prestwick Preservation Box uses acid-free, pH-neutral materials that create a stable environment, preventing the chemical reactions that cause yellowing, brittleness, and fabric decay. This archival-grade protection mimics museum-quality storage, ensuring delicate textiles remain untouched by time.

Packing Instructions:

  • Place two sheets of tissue paper on the bottom of your preservation box.

  • Line all four interior sides of the box with two sheets of tissue paper each, allowing the paper to drape over the edges.

  • Lay the dress face down on a wide, flat surface - such as a double bed.

  • Position sheets of tissue paper along the centre back line of the skirt.

  • Fold one side of the skirt inward to align with the centre back, then place a sheet of tissue paper on top.

  • Repeat with the other side of the skirt, again placing a sheet of tissue paper over the fold.

  • Continue folding both sides inward toward the centre until the width of the folded dress matches the width of the box.

  • Gently fold the bodice back over the skirt, so the front of the bodice is facing up.

  • Tuck any remaining length of train underneath the skirt.

  • Carefully place the folded dress into the box to ensure it fits comfortably.

  • Use any remaining tissue paper to gently cover the top of the dress.

  • Finally, fold the overhanging tissue paper from the box edges back over the garment, ensuring it is fully and securely covered.
