The Prestwick Place Lab-Grown Diamonds are in fact real diamonds and offer the same brilliance, sparkle, and shine of a natural, mined diamond.

Marquise diamonds are variations of the round brilliant cut and have 58 total facets to maximise sparkle. Because of the longer shape of this diamond, the marquise crown is typically larger than expected and the size of the stone is emphasised, making it appear larger than its carat weight.

The marquise diamond is an elongated oval shape that tapers to sharp points at each end. It is often called the "romantic" diamond shape because of its unique curves. The meaning behind a marquise diamond shape is love, joy, and celebration.

A lab-grown diamond should be considered and treated just as a mined diamond would as it contains the exact same properties as naturally formed diamonds.
The only thing that makes a lab-grown diamond different from a mined diamond is its origin.

A lab-grown diamond touches fewer hands, is conflict-free, they are less ecologically damaging than a mined diamond and they are 30% to 50% less expensive than their earth mined diamond equivalents.

Our Marquise Cut Lab-Diamond looks great in intricate vintage styles and halo settings but also works beautifully as an eye-catching simple solitaire.
Smaller carat marquise-shaped diamonds are also great for east-west settings.

Why SI1?

SI1 (Slightly Included)

Although an SI1 diamond isn't flawless, SI diamond grades are beautiful and valuable. Although they are slightly included, most often, no one will come close enough to even see or identify inclusions.

Typically SI diamonds may have inclusions that are eye visible, but generally the inclusions cannot be wholly identified, unless magnified.

VVS1 and VS1 diamonds have better clarity than SI1 graded stones however, SI1 diamonds do offer great value, especially when paired with D colouring and 'Excellent' to 'Ideal' cuts.

Why D Colour?
Diamond colour is typically graded on a scale descending from D, which means no hint of colour, to Z.  A well-cut D colour lab-diamond has a bright, icy white appearance that looks stunningly beautiful.
It is important to note that D colour diamonds are valuable because they are rare, and we believe in providing excellence over cutting corners when it comes to the colour of a Lab-grown diamond.

The Prestwick Diamond is a lab-created stone, meaning it is both ethically and responsibly sourced.

*While the imagery shown features a loose diamond, this is done so for aesthetic reasons. Prestwick Place do not sell loose diamonds. Each product and price reflects a full, complete Prestwick Place solitaire ring.
